Fingal’s Cave,  Staffa, Scotland

Fingal’s Cave is a lava cave in the sea on the Scottisch island of Staffa. The cave has a particular pattern: a kind of horizontal columns. This is the result of crystallization of lava by accelerated cooling (probably due to the sea water), about 62 to 65 million years ago. With a special  tourist boat you can enter these beautiful caves.
