Palais Garnier also known as Opera Garnier was designed in 1861 by architect Charles Garnier , commissioned by Napoleon III.

The building is also known as The Phantom of the Opera ( a novel byGaston Leroux ).
They claimed a curiously misshapen creature haunting the underground passages of the opera. The ghost would have been responsible for numerous conflicts and crimes.
The highlight of the building is the large central hall .
The Grand Salon of the palais beautifully decorated with different types of marble . The hall contains many crown skies and a giagantic one that weighs more than 6 tons. Furthermore, the ceiling of the hall contains beautiful paintings. The Palais is a magnificent piece of art.
